FOundation

DRS Rebar was founded in 2016 by Ruben G. Sandoval, a veteran of the reinforcing ironwork industry with a reputation for precision and safety.

Ruben began his journey in 1991, entering the Reinforcing Ironworkers Local 416 apprenticeship program. His natural leadership and technical skill led to a promotion to Foreman shortly after graduation. Known for tackling the most complex structures, Ruben consistently delivered high-stakes projects on or ahead of schedule.

A Legacy of Infrastructure

Throughout his career, Ruben has been instrumental in shaping Southern California’s landscape. His portfolio includes:

Early 2000s: Completion of the Route 55/405 Interchange and several critical bridges at the Route 91/I-5 Interchange.
Metro Gold Line: Served as General Foreman for the Eastside Extension. Ruben takes immense pride in completing this high-risk project without a single missed-day injury, prioritizing crew safety above all else.
